About us
We are a group of people from diverse backgrounds, united at our core by the family of Natsir. At the heart of the household, Diana, his wife, makes sure we never go hungry. She leads the cooking classes and manages the guest accommodations. Irma, her daughter, is gradually taking over the chocolate production from her father. The youngest, Adiba, will start elementary school in 2026, yet already guides newcomers around the property, speaking excellent English thanks to growing up with international guests. In the absence of volunteers, Amir, Natsir's brother, steps in to teach the English classes.
Yet the beating heart of the project remains Natsir himself. From dusk till dawn, he works tirelessly in his garden, driven by his love for plants and trees.
Our project thrives thanks to support from the wider community. Family, neighbours and friends assist with chocolate and coffee production. International volunteers teach English and work in the garden. Strangers, inspired by our story, contribute through fundraising. Recently, Widya Erti Indonesia, a nationwide NGO for sustainability projects, began supporting us with administrative assistance.
Together, we create a place where learning, growth and community meet - linking our village Maroson to the rest of the world.
